A Teflon lip seal designed for rotation that can be used without lubrication. It has high solvent resistance and heat resistance, making it suitable for use at high temperatures.
The multi-purpose sealing material, Dynalip Seal, is a lip seal made entirely of PTFE, developed based on a new design philosophy specifically for rotation. Conventional oil seals with rubber or PTFE lip seals are housed in metal casings, making them unsuitable for small-batch, varied production. However, the Dynalip Seal is made through machining from PTFE material, allowing for any shape or dimension, making it suitable for small-batch, varied sealing needs. Additionally, it is easy to attach and detach from the housing, has good handling properties, and does not deform or damage the housing. 【Features】 ■ Suitable for high-speed rotation → Can achieve peripheral speeds of up to 30 m/s when lubricated ■ Can withstand pressures up to 0.9 MPa ■ Low friction ■ Usable from -54℃ to +180℃ ■ Resistant to various fluids → The corrosion-resistant PTFE is not affected by most chemicals and can also seal in dry running (gas seals), abrasive fluids, and powders. ■ Does not damage the sealing bore → The fixing material of the Dynalip Seal (bore side) is in contact with an O-ring, ensuring that repeated replacements do not damage the bore. *For more details, please download the catalog.

basic information
【Main Features】 ○ Suitable for high-speed rotation → With lubrication, speeds of up to 30 m/s are possible ○ Low friction → The low-friction PTFE lip prevents stick-slip and allows for smooth operation ○ Usable over a wide temperature range → -54℃ to +180℃ ○ Resistant to various fluids → The corrosion-resistant PTFE is unaffected by most chemicals and can also seal in dry operation (gas seals), abrasive fluids, and powders ○ Does not wear the shaft → The low-friction PTFE material contacts the shaft over a larger area, minimizing wear ○ Does not damage the seal bore → The fixing material of the dynamic lip seal (bore side) is in contact with an O-ring, preventing damage to the bore even after repeated replacements ○ Free dimensional settings → Can be machined on a lathe to match the shaft diameter and bore diameter to existing groove dimensions ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Teflon® Packing and Seal Teflon seals (packing and gaskets) refer to sealing components made primarily from fluororesin. Their performance is excellent in heat and cold resistance, and they are not affected by various fluids (liquids and gases), including general chemical agents and solvents, allowing them to be used under harsh conditions from vacuum to high pressure. Additionally, their non-stick and low-friction properties make them suitable for dynamic applications, and their ability to be used as seals for extended periods is one of their significant features. However, they are prone to wear and can easily deform (creep) under high temperature and high pressure, so it is common to fill them with materials such as fiberglass, molybdenum disulfide, graphite, and carbon fiber to mitigate these effects. In design, attention is needed regarding the structure of the device, surface treatment and hardening of sliding parts, and the structure and material selection of the seal (packing and gasket). Particularly, selecting seals requires extensive knowledge and experience. Please feel free to consult us when considering your options.
