It is often desired to monitor digital signals from sensors and control digital devices from a PC. However, until now, it was common to attach expansion boards to the PC. This method, however, did not allow for the monitoring and control of devices and sensors located in multiple places away from the PC. The LAN IO series is a compact, low-cost unit that enables the monitoring of sensors and control of devices in multiple remote locations by monitoring and controlling digital signals via LAN. The LA-5T2S can control 5 open collector outputs and 2 phototransistor inputs.
