The Fastex Three-Rake Drill Sharpener EDSG-313 is a revolutionary drill sharpening machine that can grind drills from 3mm to 13mm into a three-rake shape, ensuring consistent results whether operated by a novice or an experienced user. It sharpens drills with a three-rake design, which is also adopted by the Nachi SG-ESS drill. The three-rake shape is a thinning design for drills without a chisel tip, offering excellent concentricity and high drilling precision. However, due to chipping issues, it is not suitable for carbide drills. The sharpening method involves holding the drill in a collet-equipped holder for positioning, and then setting the sharpening unit to match the drill diameter. After that, simply inserting the drill into the sharpening unit will grind it into the three-rake shape. The holder, equipped with our unique patented bearing technology, prevents collet wear, eliminating concerns about drill misalignment. It allows for the easy regeneration of broken drills and those with diminished cutting performance that are not being used in the factory, contributing to cost reduction within the company.
