Cambridge ViscoCity Viscometer and Viscosity Control Device
The sensors are a range of products that cater to a wide variety of applications, from compact drop-type and tabletop models to process inline types.
It is possible to measure the liquid viscosity from a very small sample volume of 75μL, with a maximum pressure of 138MPa and a maximum temperature of 375°C. The viscosity range is from 0.2 to 20,000 cP, and the measurement ratio is subdivided into 13 ranges at 1:20, providing stable accuracy and reliability.

The measurement principle is "free fall," where two coils built into the sensor move a piston back and forth, and the time taken is displayed and output as absolute viscosity. The movement of this piston draws the liquid into the measurement chamber and discharges it, allowing for continuous measurement of fresh sample liquid. Additionally, the attached RTD of the sensor measures the actual temperature of the liquid, and based on this data, the temperature-compensated viscosity value further enhances process management.

The actual temperature measurement of the liquid using the built-in RTD in the sensor results in temperature-compensated viscosity measurement values, further enhancing the effectiveness of process control.
