This is Mies van der Rohe's work, the "Barcelona Chair." It was designed for the German Pavilion at the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition and was created for the king. The Barcelona Chair is said to be the king's chair of the 20th century. This piece features the great beauty of legs inspired by the shape of "scissors," which were considered a symbol of ancient power, and aims to achieve maximum comfort with a simple form. It is designed with a frame made of X-shaped combined metal flat bars, onto which cushions are placed. Our company is the exclusive distributor for Steel Line in Japan. Steel Line is one of the oldest reproduction manufacturers in Italy, with nearly 30 years of history, and they participate in the Milan Salone every year. We originally started as a select shop for reproduction products, but due to the prolonged recession and deflation, the distribution of high-quality reproduction products in the Japanese market decreased, while the number of low-quality reproduction products increased, leading to a reduction in products that we could confidently recommend to our customers. In response to this, we began importing Steel Line products in 2009. Currently, we primarily sell Steel Line products through wholesale to design offices, architectural firms, and interior shops.
