Methods to prevent rat holes and arching phenomena in bulk materials include air aeration using air nozzles and impact methods using air knockers or electromagnetic knockers. However, our equipment enhances the fluidization of powdered materials through the following combined effects: - Air flows along the inner wall of the hopper from all around the rubber disk. - The rubber disk vibrates, transmitting that vibration to the bulk materials. While it is not guaranteed that this will work 100% for all materials and conditions, there have been many cases where it has provided a "one-shot solution" in situations that could not be resolved by other methods, and the cost is minimal.
