High-voltage cables need to be shaped properly to fit the cable terminations and intermediate connections after the outer insulation layer has been stripped. During the welding or clamping of the conductors, the insulation may shift slightly, so the ability to process the insulation into its final shape after the conductor connections is a significant advantage. By providing width between the guide rollers, it becomes easier to process the insulation even after the conductors have already been connected. The distance between the rollers can be extended by lengthening the axes of the rollers. As the tool rotates around the cable, the knife automatically moves toward the conductor by about 1mm with each rotation. For stripping the ends, a slot can be made in the insulation toward the conductor, allowing the insulation to be pulled away from the conductor. The basic tool comes with various types of knives. The straight pen stripping knife can create a 45-degree taper angle on the insulation. The curved pen stripping knife can create a tapered curve on the insulation. The insulation can be prepared with slots and shoulders on both sides where the metal enclosure will be inserted.
