This is a size series established for use in sports and for fixing cylindrical surfaces, based on the old JIS standard (JIS WP1516). The AN6227 standard is one of the O-ring dimension standards that originated from the old JIS standard (JIS WP1516). It is used primarily for O-ring sizes in dynamic applications and for cylindrical surface sealing, particularly in the aerospace and hydraulic industries. Furthermore, all AN6227 standards can be converted to the AS568 standard (aerospace standard).
