This is an Ethernet LAN (10Base-T / 100Base-TX / 1000Base-T) measurement expansion board designed to be used with the interface expansion slot of the communication analyzer LE-8200A/LE-8200. It supports PoE (Power Over Ethernet) and PoE+ standards, allowing for direct analysis of both communication and power. ● Monitor function to record and display Ethernet LAN data frames ● Built-in fail-safe tap ● Packet generator (PG function) for network load testing ● Statistical functions effective for communication errors and traffic analysis ● PoE logger function to observe the power supply status of PoE/PoE+ ● Ping function for convenient link confirmation ● Port blinking function useful after cable installation

The LAN monitoring function captures data frames in a large capacity memory of 100MB. It is also possible to automatically save measurement data to external memory such as CF cards. The measurement data can be converted into .pcap format files using dedicated utility software and can be utilized with free LAN analysis software like Ethereal and Wireshark. The PG function can output arbitrary packets at a maximum line rate of 1Gbps. The PoE measurement function measures voltage, current, and power consumption from the power sourcing equipment (PSE) to the powered device (PD), continuously recording up to 4 million data points while performing proper judgment. The PoE measurement data can be saved in CSV file format to external memory, making it usable with spreadsheet software on a PC. Additionally, it has features such as PING functionality and port blink functionality, which can be utilized in LAN installation sites.
