High Brightness Light Guide Rod for LED - SK Rod
It is possible to convert LED point light emission into line light emission with a sense of clarity, making it suitable for aesthetically pleasing light displays!
The SK rod is a rigid plastic fiber that enables side-emitting light guidance by adding a reflective layer to the core and cladding layers of a fiber optic structure, achieving a low-cost, long-lasting linear light source in combination with LED point light sources! 【Features different from conventional soft-type side-emitting fibers】 ◎ It allows for a clearer and more directional emission of light. ◎ It has excellent weather resistance. ◎ Unlike conventional soft-type fibers that may have issues with light emission performance due to delamination from two-step manufacturing with dissimilar materials, the SK rod is produced in a single-step process with simultaneous integral molding of three material structures: cladding layer, core layer, and reflective layer, resulting in superior quality stability and cost performance. (You can view detailed product specifications, including various test results, from the 【Download】 section.) <Examples of Applications> - Replacement for neon tubes and cold cathode tubes - Display devices for home appliances, etc. - Architectural lighting components (stairs, handrails, bathtub handrails, footlights, etc.) - Energy-saving lighting (under-shelf lighting, spotlights, etc.) - Road materials (road signs, billboards, stop lines, etc.) - Toys (displays, etc.) - Automotive parts (doors, steps, indoor and outdoor lighting) - Lighting for image processing in factories *For more details, please contact us.

basic information
**Features** ■ Excellent cost performance - Achieved low costs through the development of specialized precision processing technology. - Usable for a wide range of applications. ■ Excellent processability - Can be cut to any desired length. - Bending processing is possible using heating furnaces, bending molds, etc. ■ Excellent environmental resistance - Made from materials with excellent weather resistance and optical properties, ensuring minimal performance degradation over long-term use. - The clad layer, which serves as the outer surface, protects the core layer and reflective layer that enable side-emission light, preventing changes in appearance and light emission performance due to dirt such as scratches and fingerprints, which are common issues with single-layer side-emission light rods.

Company information
Our company was founded in 1897. At the time of its establishment, we were engaged in the import and processing of natural products such as ivory and tortoiseshell, but we adapted to the changing times and began to handle plastic materials. Those who were involved in the company at its inception may not be able to imagine its current form, but I believe that our ability to evolve with the times is one of our strengths that connects to today's values. Our vision for the future is to aim to be the best company in the market for processed plastic products. There are various metrics to evaluate this, such as sales, market share, and profits, but I believe it is important to be the best not only in financial data but also in our adaptability to the needs of the times, such as "environmental" considerations, and in employee satisfaction. We need to build on our past achievements as a strong foundation and make efforts to strengthen that foundation further. We want our customers and the end users beyond them to know about our company, and we aim to become a company that attracts more opportunities. Therefore, we sincerely ask for your continued support for Shinko Plastics Co., Ltd. President and CEO, Hiroshi Kodama
