High-performance pre-treatment column to prevent clogging of the column by humic acid.

The CHEMCO MASK-ENV column is a high-selectivity column developed for the pretreatment of environmental water samples in column switching methods. By introducing hydrophilic functional groups (sulfonic acid polymer) near the surface of a hydrophobic polymer filler through the MASK modification method, efficient concentration of target analytes and cleanup of interfering components can be achieved.

This product has the function of eliminating ionic impurities such as humic substances present in environmental water samples through ion repulsion, while simultaneously selectively concentrating the target substances for measurement. Furthermore, it is a separation agent that improves the issues of clogging in analytical columns and piping, which often arise in environmental water sample analysis using column switching systems. By using a pre-treatment column with selective concentration functions granted by chemical modification, the stability and flow characteristics of the column switching system are enhanced, enabling high-sensitivity and effective environmental monitoring at the ng/L level even with highly versatile detectors.
