Principles of universal design and further "comfort" and "usability" for users.
Wheeler Bus 21 allows for a suitable layout in the bathroom as the hot water tank, bathtub, and wheelchair are each separated. The bathtub is designed to dock with the wheelchair, allowing it to be inverted like a cradle for bathing, using a water pressure cylinder developed in-house without electricity. Wheeler Bus has exceeded cumulative sales of 3,000 units and is well-loved by many facilities. Wheeler Bus 21 has a compact design that eliminates unnecessary parts, making it suitable for use in general households as well. Additionally, every year, several units are donated to facilities as part of a charity initiative by NHK Welfare Cultural Projects.
