We have flat concave Fresnel lenses available for light gathering purposes, for use with overhead projectors (OHP) for enlarged projection, and for condenser applications as well!
Fresnel lenses are made of thin, flat acrylic resin with closely spaced, stepped, concentric grooves in a sawtooth pattern. Each groove acts as a small refractive surface (prism surface), allowing the entire lens to function as a single large lens. Some types of Fresnel lenses are also used as magnifying glasses, but they tend to cause more stress on the eyes compared to spherical lenses. For the same focal length, the light transmission rate of a thin Fresnel lens is usually higher than that of glass lenses, making them particularly useful for concentrating sunlight. They are also widely used as projection lenses for overhead projectors (OHP). 【Features】 ■ Negative focal length ■ Options for circular and rectangular shapes ■ Acrylic substrate *You can download the catalog from Edmund Optics Japan that features this product from the link below.
