This is an assembly product that combines a rotating density filter (reflective type) that continuously changes optical density in a clockwise direction with a dedicated holder. The filter rotates manually, either by pinching the edge of the filter or by turning the knob on the front or back of the holder. The holder is made of aluminum and has a 1/4-20UNC tapped hole on its bottom surface. It can be connected as shown in the photo using the included mount post (12.7 x 101.6mmL), or used to connect with other hardware. Edmund Optics offers a total of six types of assembly products categorized by filter size and optical density range. When installing on an optical bench using the included post, the use of a post holder is convenient.
