**Features** Zirconia has high mechanical strength and fracture toughness, and excellent wear resistance, making it suitable for structural materials, machine parts, and sliding components, as well as for everyday items like knives and scissors. Additionally, due to its very high biocompatibility and high strength, its applications have expanded to dental implants and artificial joints. It has low thermal conductivity, is highly insulating, and also exhibits excellent corrosion and chemical resistance. Fully stabilized zirconia with 8 mol% yttria has excellent ionic conductivity and becomes a solid electrolyte at high temperatures (over 600°C), making it useful as a power generation material for fuel cells and for oxygen sensor materials. Colored zirconia is available in various colors and is widely used in decorative items due to its unique high texture. **Cost Reduction** Its excellent strength and high wear resistance contribute to the longevity of parts.
