The unmanned polishing tool "On-Machine Polishing Tool" is attached to the collet at the tip of the spindle of NC machine tools such as machining centers. It performs polishing by pressing a dedicated polishing grinding stone called "Hybrid Lapping" (an elastic rubber-bonded diamond grinding stone) against the workpiece surface with a constant pressure while utilizing the spindle's rotational motion. The "On-Machine Polishing Tool" comes in three standard specifications: one with a standard configuration that has an upper and lower damper function allowing it to move along the shape with a constant contact pressure, a small collet chuck specification, and a vertical wall collet chuck specification that has both upper and lower damper functions and a circumferential damper function, allowing for differentiation based on usage. The diameter of the "Hybrid Lapping" grinding stones ranges from Φ1 to Φ30, and the grit sizes range from #60 to #10000. The tip shapes of the grinding stones can be selected based on the shape of the mold, including straight, with R, cup-shaped, tapered, radius-shaped, and various combinations of these.
