Water-soluble vitamins can be divided into about 10 types based on their functions in the body. For example, vitamin B1 consists of multiple components (thiamine, hydroxymethylthiazole, and its derivatives) that have the same function, and the total amount of these components determines the content. In this case, a multivitamin supplement was measured using LC/MS/MS, and qualitative analysis was conducted for each component of five types of water-soluble vitamins. By performing simultaneous analysis, it is possible to efficiently confirm the presence or absence of the target components.
