Fluorine-based surfactant "Futagent" Application Examples: Wettability

Improve wettability! A small amount of additive can enhance the wetting properties of the coating solution.

Neos' "Futagent" is a unique fluorinated surfactant developed by deriving from hexafluoropropene (HFP) oligomers through years of research in the field of fluorine chemistry. This product has a structure that includes a double bond within the molecule and features a complexly branched perfluoroalkenyl structure. This structure exhibits specific physical properties compared to surfactants with perfluoroalkyl groups. It demonstrates superior performance in various fields compared to hydrocarbon-based surfactants and silicone-based surfactants. 【Wettability Improvement】 ○ Wettability on PET film (Contact angle 67.6°) ⇒ Addition of 0.1wt% Futagent: 25.2° ⇒ Addition of 0.2wt% Futagent: 9.5° ○ Wettability on PTFE (Contact angle 108.8°) ⇒ Addition of 0.1wt% Futagent: 39.4° ⇒ Addition of 0.2wt% Futagent: 20.0° For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.
