Phenolic resin laminated boards are plastic sheets manufactured and sold by Rishou Industry for over 80 years. Based on thermosetting phenolic resin and reinforced with fibrous substrates such as paper and cloth, these resin boards excel not only in mechanical strength but also in heat resistance, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability. By adding machining processes, it is possible to obtain parts of various shapes, and they have a proven track record of being used in various fields, including electrical insulation applications. Recently, a type with "static electricity dissipation" has been added to the lineup of phenolic resin laminated boards: PS-1571 (paper substrate) and PS-2751 (cloth substrate). While many resin materials with static electricity dissipation are based on "thermoplastic resins," PS-1571/PS-2571 are based on "thermosetting resins," which provide superior strength, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. Furthermore, the static electricity dissipation properties conferred to PS-1571/PS-2571 are exhibited on any machined surface, and this effect is permanent, so we expect it to contribute to various fields where static electricity control is necessary.
