Applications/Examples of results
Brass has excellent electrical conductivity, making it suitable for use in both high and low voltage equipment and conductive parts. It has outstanding corrosion resistance, which is further enhanced by nickel plating, also increasing its decorative quality. Nickel plating is widely used for decorative purposes and has a mirror-like shine. Its rust resistance is superior to that of chromate treatment or trivalent chromate treatment. To enhance adhesion to screws and improve rust resistance, a copper plating is applied as a base layer under the nickel plating.
