We will evaluate the cracking and peeling from the substrate that occurs when the coating weight falls and deforms.
The JIS-K5600 drop weight test includes three types: free fall, ball drop, and DuPont method, and this product uses the free fall method. A cylindrical weight with a rounded tip is dropped along the outer tube to evaluate the resistance to bending and stretching of the coating. The DuPont method evaluates resistance to impact and deformation simultaneously at the edge, so the way impact is applied to the coating differs. The main body is equipped with a fixture to set the insertion height.

basic information
Place the test apparatus on a stable surface. Ensure that the outer cylinder is vertical and adjust it so that the scale of the drop position is at the specified height. If necessary, set the drop height using a stopper. Place the coated test piece on the support with the coated surface facing up or down, and secure it in the specified position using a fixture. Drop a weight onto the test piece. Inspect the coating using an observation lens. Report whether there are any cracks or peeling in the coating of the test piece, and whether the test plate is cracked. The pass/fail test determines the condition of the coating based on the results of dropping the weight from the specified height. The grading test involves gradually increasing the height of the weight and measuring the minimum drop height at which cracks or peeling occur, as well as the mass of the weight.
