With this one item, you can perform all cross-cut tests and grid tests; it is a complete kit.

A multi-cutter guide that can perform cross-cut tests, grid tests, and X-cut tests (at a 30° angle) for thick films of 250μm or more in adhesion tests. With this single piece, you can conduct tests with 11 lines at 1mm intervals (100 grid test), 6 lines at 1mm intervals (25 grid test), 6 lines at 2mm intervals (25 grid test), 11 lines at 1.5mm intervals (100 grid test), 6 lines at 3mm intervals (25 grid test), and X-cut tests (at a 30° angle). Additionally, it can be used for five different applications, including a wet film thickness gauge for measuring the thickness of uncured coatings, a ruler, and a sag tester for conducting sag tests. The set includes two cutters for JIS-K5600 and JIS-K5400, adhesive tape, and a soft brush.

By making cuts both vertically and horizontally, a grid-like cross-cut is created in the center. Adhesive tape is then applied and quickly pulled off. The state of the coating that has been removed by the tape is classified by comparing it with the examples of test results classified from 0 to 5 as specified in JIS standards (JIS-K5600).
