Supports cargo exceeding the height of container boxes (8.6ft/9.6ft)! Overheight spreader.
The "Overheight Spreader" is a lifting device used in conjunction with the mother spreaders of gantry cranes and transfer cranes at port facilities. It is designed to grasp open-top containers and flat-rack containers loaded with cargo that exceeds the height of standard container boxes (8.6ft/9.6ft). The connection between the mother spreader and the overheight spreader is made using the twist lock of the mother spreader, while the operation of the twist lock on the overheight spreader is performed manually using wire ropes arranged on the side. Each product generally conforms to the dimensions of ISO container boxes, but the specifications for leg length, lifting capacity, and self-weight vary depending on the overheight.
