The "Depth Sounder Pinger System" from Ocean Electronics emits ultrasonic pulses and measures the distance (time) to the seabed based on the time difference between direct waves and reflections. The pinger body is equipped with an inclinometer, which can detect tilting when it exceeds a specified angle by monitoring changes in the pinger's emission cycle.
