The technology has been realized by incorporating different circuit methods for electric field detection in voltage measurement and magnetic field detection in current measurement into a single measuring instrument. In non-contact voltage measurement, the signal of the measurement target (with unknown amplitude and frequency) is detected by an electronic sensor in conjunction with a reference signal (with known amplitude and frequency) inside the product, allowing for the desired voltage value and frequency to be obtained. During voltage measurement, the device functions properly when the user becomes a capacitive path to ground. Therefore, please conduct measurements while touching the contacts located on the back of the device as shown in the diagram below. If wearing insulating gloves or shoes is mandatory, or if the user's feet are on insulating flooring, this path will be interrupted. Please connect the COM test lead (black) of the device to the ground, such as the metal door of the distribution board, before taking measurements. Additionally, for floating voltage measurements that do not reference ground, please use the test leads (red and black) for measurement.
