[Meltouch Waterproofing Construction Guide] Necessity of Renovation Work and Required Performance of Waterproofing Layers
Introducing why waterproof renovation work is necessary on the rooftop of a condominium!
The roofs of typical apartments are made of concrete. Concrete roofs are generally not prone to water leakage under normal conditions, so there is no worry about rainwater seeping in. However, concrete has the property of shrinking when it dries, which can lead to cracking. Additionally, the existing waterproof layer can deteriorate over many years. Such cracks and damage can lead to water leakage incidents, so it is necessary to install a waterproof layer on concrete roofs and carry out renovation work. [Cases where renovation work is necessary] ■ Cracks in flat areas ■ Peeling in vertical sections ■ Wrinkles on the surface of the waterproof layer ■ Cracks on the surface of the waterproof layer *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
