The "MP300" is a passive probe with low input capacitance and a wide frequency range. It is used by connecting it to a measuring instrument with an input impedance of 50Ω. With an input resistance of 500Ω, the attenuation ratio is 10:1, which is significantly lower than that of typical passive probes or FET probes, so care must be taken regarding the impact on the circuit under test in the DC to low-frequency range. However, due to its low input capacitance and input impedance being close to a pure resistance, the load effect is small in the high-frequency range, resulting in better frequency response.
