Product development innovation in manufacturing *Explanation book available.
"Good opportunities reside in a prepared mind" (The Law of Serendipity). You can learn systematic innovation methods, such as the ability to discover unexpected things by chance!
Improving the current products is important, but new technologies that differ from existing ones may emerge and, despite initially seeming inferior, could eventually disrupt the existing market. One classic example is the innovation that occurred across generations, from sailing ships to steamships, from steam engines to internal combustion engines, and from internal combustion engines to electric motors. This is not just about brainstorming ideas or theories of innovation; it is about systematizing innovation through historical examples as done by Christensen, Drucker, and Schumpeter. Let’s learn about "product development innovation management" that achieves results from the innovation mindset of Japanese people, who have won many Nobel Prizes in natural sciences, and have made Japanese trains and automobiles the best in the world, derived from Western origins! * A commentary handbook is currently being offered. basic information
<Core Competence Strategy> The core competence strategy can be seen as a lesson born from reflections within American MBA programs. When targeting products and markets aimed at short-term profits, prioritizing feasibility means that improvements to existing products or venturing beyond familiar markets will not occur. However, relying solely on such Strategic Business Units (SBUs) carries the risk of technological stagnation and halted growth. If the core capabilities of a company are the roots, then products are the trunk, and branches and leaves can be considered as well. It is important to focus on nurturing the roots while developing SBU strategies. "Opportunity resides in a prepared mind" (the law of serendipity) and "Strategic Management of Technology and Innovation" (by Christensen et al., Shoei-sha) suggest that by not isolating oneself within the company, but rather by meeting various people and observing different things, one can find hints for discovering technologies, products, and business models. In addition to the law of serendipity, I also considered the mindset for creative innovation by referencing the "18 Laws of Supply Chain" (by Yoshijiro Imaoka, Nihon Keizai Shimbun).

The aim is to eliminate waste in the operation system and the power system! "Balancing inventory reduction and preventing stockouts," "energy conservation," "new products and new businesses," and "developing people who are passionate about proactive reform" are challenging endeavors for many companies. The reasons hindering results are believed to be the proliferation of numerous projects targeting short-term outcomes, such as partial improvements that do not address the root issues, easy IT implementations like ERP that overlook the overall picture, balancers for rotating shafts that do not consider rotational friction resistance and eccentric centrifugal force compensation, and imitation of competitors. Our consultant, Zenjiro Imaoka, has acquired patents for technologies that suppress rotational axis wobble for energy conservation. He has solved many technical problems in mechanics and IT at an engineering company, developed management systems, and gained experience at a global consulting firm, mastering management analysis and prescriptions. Through numerous publications and consulting experiences, he has synthesized "management and mechanics" through management education in MBA and MOT. Based on MOT management education, we provide consulting for business diagnostics and strategic proposals, system design, and project support for new products and new businesses. We are available nationwide, primarily in the Kanto region, so please feel free to consult with us.
