At Chuo Printing, we are committed to reducing environmental impact by recycling roll foils used in special printing instead of disposing of them. At the Okaya factory, following the acquisition of ISO 9001 certification in 1999, we obtained ISO 14001 certification, the international standard for environmental management systems, in June 2000. Additionally, regarding wastewater treatment, which is considered one of the major challenges in the printing industry, we have jointly developed a cleaning wastewater treatment recycling system with other companies. We have established a system that collects only sludge while reusing the cleaning water, and by sharing data on raw materials and equipment with local governments, we are also addressing environmental risks in emergencies. The used cold foil (aluminum foil) discharged from our company is collected by a processing company, where aluminum is separated from PET film.
