The electrical resistance of metals changes in a certain proportion with temperature variations, allowing for temperature measurement. High-purity platinum is most commonly used due to its large temperature coefficient of electrical resistance as a metal material. The temperature measuring resistance using this platinum is called a platinum resistance thermometer (PT sensor). The elements of platinum resistance thermometers can be ceramic, platinum thin-film types, etc. ○When measuring, the self-heating phenomenon caused by the current flowing through the temperature measuring resistance is taken into account, and the following currents are specified based on the nominal resistance value. Nominal resistance value (R0 value) 100Ω, specified currents 0.5mA, 1mA, 2mA ○Wiring methods for temperature measuring resistance (PT sensor) There are 2-wire, 3-wire, and 4-wire configurations, with the 3-wire configuration being the most common. ○Classes of temperature measuring resistance (PT sensor) Class A = ±(0.15 + 0.002|t|) Class B = ±(0.3 + 0.005|t|)
