The C-800 is a handheld, portable spectroscopic color meter (spectral color illuminance meter) that can be taken to the field. It is capable of measuring the spectra of various light sources, including flash and LED lights, and is equipped with measurement items and display modes suitable for photography applications. SSI is a color rendering index developed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which displays comparisons with CIE standard light sources (such as tungsten and daylight D55) or memorized light sources using indices and graphs. The C-800 was the first color meter in the world to incorporate this feature.

TLCI is a color rendering index that incorporates the characteristics of the camera and is based on the creation of television images. It also has the capability to display a comparison with a reference light source (memory value) called TLMF in index form.

TM-30 displays Rf (fidelity) and Rg (gamut) as indices based on 99 reference colors and the characteristics of the human eye. The values are presented in numerical form and as color vector graphics.

The CRI displays the standard color rendering index with Ra and R1-R15. The C-800 also features a comparison mode for CRI.
