It provides sharp and clear images with high contrast and minimal reduction in resolution even at the edges. ■ Extremely low optical distortion The optical distortion at the diagonal edge is less than 1% for both the FL-CC2514-5M and FL-CC1614-5M. The TV distortion is kept below 0.2%. This results in images with very little distortion, making it ideal for image measurement applications. ■ Adopts a floating mechanism It can capture high-resolution images with minimal distortion across the entire range from infinity to close distances, maximizing performance at any magnification or shooting distance. ■ Bright lens even at the edges Despite having an outer diameter of Φ43 mm, it supports 5-megapixel resolution with a bright F1.4 optical system. It minimizes the reduction of peripheral light, allowing for bright and high-resolution images even at the edges. As a wide-angle lens, it raises peripheral light to 70% (at the diagonal edge) even at full aperture, resulting in bright and clear images throughout. The RICOH FL series offers a wide range of high-performance lenses with varying focal lengths and sensor sizes for resolutions of 9M, 5M, 2M, and VGA. While typical lenses experience image degradation from the center to the periphery, Ricoh's FA lenses exhibit very little peripheral image degradation, ensuring excellent optical characteristics. This allows for the acquisition of high-resolution images over a wider range, enabling high-level appearance inspections with stable quality. *The machine vision lenses that were previously sold under the Pentax brand have been switched to the Ricoh brand since October 2012.
