Foam-type thermal cup thickness measurement device
The containers of cup noodles are made with insulating materials to minimize the transfer of heat to a person's hand when handling hot water. These materials have a structure that contains a lot of air internally, making them soft. When attempting to measure the thickness with mechanical micrometers, they slightly compress (dents). Therefore, accurate measurement becomes troublesome. Additionally, the limited measurement methods make the process very labor-intensive. In this device, two laser displacement sensors are used to measure the position of the cup's wall from both sides, and the thickness is determined by the difference between these measurements.
