Solar cells absorb light to generate electricity, but some of it is emitted through a phenomenon called luminescence. The method of capturing this light is called PL (Photoluminescence) observation. POPLI observes the emission wavelength range based on the bandgap. If there are defects, the generated carriers get trapped, resulting in a decrease in luminescence intensity compared to normal areas, allowing for the identification of abnormal regions based on the intensity difference.
