Minimally invasive microendoscope for deep brain calcium imaging.
"LumiScope" enables in vivo observation and brightness measurement of neuronal activity in deep brain regions and changes at the single-cell level in vivo, which could not be observed with optical microscopes. With a diameter of 350μm, the ultra-fine optical lens and an array of 10,000 imaging fibers achieve a spatial resolution of 2μm. Our company was established in December 1977 by Masaharu Kinkai (currently the representative director), who left the Japanese general agency for the West German company Ernst Leitz, Schmidt Co., Ltd., and set up in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.
