Non-woven water-repellent sound-absorbing material

Oji Kinokuro Co., Ltd. will exhibit at the 6th Sustainable Material Exhibition (SUSMA) held at Makuhari Messe from September 30 (Wednesday) to October 2 (Friday), 2026. Non-woven fabrics made primarily from wood fibers are being utilized in various fields as environmentally friendly materials. At our booth, we will showcase various applications of non-woven fabrics, including cooking paper, drip sheets for food trays, face masks, seedling sheets, wet wipes, liquid absorbents, and scraping sheets. We will also focus on the functions of non-woven fabrics made from wood fibers, such as "absorbing liquids," "absorbing gases," and "absorbing sound," and introduce the potential of non-woven fabrics for various applications. Additionally, we will display a soundproof booth that combines pulp-based sound-absorbing materials "Otocell" with reinforced cardboard. You will be able to experience the changes in sound environment brought about by sound-absorbing materials. Furthermore, Oji Holdings and Oji Fitec will also be exhibiting around our booth. Oji Kinokuras will exhibit at the "3rd Kyushu Labor Safety and Health Exhibition" held for two days from June 24, 2026 (Wednesday) at Marine Messe Fukuoka. We will showcase our wood fiber-based sound-absorbing material "Otocell" and plan to display sound-absorbing booths and calm-down spaces where visitors can experience noise control. Additionally, we will demonstrate the manufacturing process of the sound-absorbing material using a demo machine. From January 28 (Wednesday) to January 30, 2026, "New Functional Materials Exhibition 2026" will be held at Tokyo Big Sight, where Oji Tack Co., Ltd. and Oji Kinocross Co., Ltd. will exhibit. Oji Tack, as a comprehensive manufacturer of adhesive and processed material products such as tack for seals and labels, tapes, processed paper, and processed films, will introduce products and new items in five categories: "Paper-based and biodegradable tack as an alternative to film," "Special adhesive tack contributing to recycling and waste reduction," "Recyclable film and reduced plastic film tack," "Enhanced functional tack," and "Environmentally friendly processed products."
