The amyloid constrictor is a vascular occluder with a donut-shaped casein core that has a central hole on the inside of the covering. After being attached around the blood vessel, the casein core gradually absorbs moisture and expands, gently occluding the blood vessel as the central hole narrows. We offer a wide range of sizes to fit the thickness of the blood vessel being used. The covering is available in stainless steel, as well as non-magnetic titanium and plastic for MRI compatibility.
