basic information
The 6-component force/torque sensor is mounted with a large preload between two mounting flanges. Therefore, it is capable of measuring not only compressive forces but also tensile forces and reaction torques. The quartz element generates a charge proportional to the acting force and reaction torque. This charge is output to the charge amplifier from the electrodes and connectors. This sensor is very robust due to its large-area quartz element and sturdy case. As a result, it achieves a high natural frequency, which is essential for dynamic force and torque measurements.
