VENUS Series
The VENUS series is a brushless motor driver that incorporates an inductor into a standard rectangular wave power driver, making it applicable to coreless motors as well.
This is the technical documentation for our brushless motor, the VENUS series. It includes information on usage and more. The driver for the three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motor consists of a power driver with a three-phase bridge configuration and integrated decoding logic for Hall sensors. These components autonomously drive the BLDC motor based on operational commands from a motor control or motion control system host. In addition to the integration of power MOSFETs and their associated drive circuits, the design is robust and highly reliable, featuring protection and diagnostic functions against overheating, overcurrent, and undervoltage conditions. The three-phase BLDC motor driver is available in a compact package with enhanced thermal characteristics, providing optimal solutions ready for use in motor control and motion control systems across a wide range of voltage and current ratings. The motor windings are connected to switching transistors, and six transistors form the inverter. The transistors alternately turn ON and OFF in a fixed sequence to change the direction of the winding current. Logic Circuit It receives feedback signals from the motor's Hall IC, detects the position of the rotor, and determines the excitation sequence of the motor windings. The signals from here are connected to the bases of each transistor in the power circuit, driving the transistors in a specific order. It also plays a role in detecting the rotation speed of the motor. It also controls commands to the motor, start/stop, brake/run, and CW/CCW.
