We processed parts for a lift valve that suppresses the movement of the MRI bed at Katsuyama Seiki. Since this is a precision device used in the medical field, "precision," "accuracy," and "completeness" are critically demanded. The lift valve operates to suppress the bed's drop caused by the strong magnetic force that occurs mainly during MRI use, and it moves the bed within a circle called the "bore" to position the area to be examined. Because it is necessary to control the bed's movement to the millimeter, the precision of the processing and the accuracy of the shape of the lift valve must be very high to be effective in such medical devices.
