This seeks to determine the relationship between the dry density and moisture content when the soil is compacted.
When constructing embankments and subgrades for roads, optimal moisture content and compaction degree are used in the design and management of compaction. It is also used as a means to prepare soil specimens for CBR tests, unconfined compression tests, and others.
