Inline slitter unit with upper blade holder

This machine is a slitter device suitable for trimming processes at both ends of the workpiece, installed in continuous processing lines for films, sheets, and laminators. It is a compact unit that can be installed in a space of about 500mm in the flow direction, with a construction period of approximately three days. By adopting an electric control type upper blade holder, parameters such as lap amount and side pressure can be numerically managed, eliminating the need for the "intuition of veteran craftsmen," ensuring high reproducibility regardless of who operates it. Furthermore, it allows for remote operation, enabling safe changes to cutting conditions for lap amount and side pressure without removing the cover, even while the line is in operation. The upper and lower blades and the lower blade motor are integrated into a single unit, allowing for changes in slit width by moving the unit while it is in operation. 【Features of the Upper Blade Holder】 1. The standard outer diameter of the upper blade is Φ150, but automatic measurement of the outer diameter is performed inside the holder each time. Based on that data, the distance to the lower blade is calculated to determine the lap amount. 2. The side pressure is accurately reproduced by an internal electro-pneumatic converter within the holder. 3. The basic form of the upper blade holder allows for vertical movement and side pressure adjustment through individual panel operations at the top of the holder, but remote operation is possible with a dedicated cable and control panel. 4. The basic form uses a manual handle to move the left and right blade units, but by adding an AC servo motor, ball screw, and control panel as options, precise slit width adjustments can also be made remotely. 5. In the basic form, the lower blade drive motor is an inverter motor, but if the speed ratio from low to high is 1:20 or more, it can be changed to an AC servo motor.
