I・D・F is a manufacturing company that was born in Ishinomaki from the experience of the Great East Japan Earthquake. Based on our experience of the disaster, we aim to create products that can protect lives, even if just a little, from potential disasters that may occur in the future. Our flagship product, FRS, was commercialized through a collaborative project between Ishinomaki Senshu University, Ishinomaki City, and local companies. In addition to existing products such as automotive seat covers and solar system LED streetlights, we began joint research with the Tohoku University Future Science Technology Collaborative Research Center (NICHe) in 2018, and in 2019, we started the production of lithium-ion batteries using manganese-based cathode materials in the Kahoku area of Ishinomaki. Currently, we are manufacturing and selling battery modules that use our own lithium-ion battery cells suitable for stationary devices such as energy storage systems.
