[Case Study] Water leakage from panel joints due to aging deterioration of the water tank.
We will introduce a case where water leakage occurred from the panel joints due to the aging deterioration of a water tank at a certain hospital.
At a hospital, water leakage occurred from the panel joints of a tank due to aging deterioration. Repair work was carried out without shutting off the water supply for the hospital. First, a temporary tank was installed, followed by lining work on the internal joints of the tank, and finally, a water quality inspection was conducted to ensure safety. The work was completed with deodorization and without water interruption, tailored to the site conditions. We respond quickly to tank repair work according to the situation on-site. 【Overview】 ■Issue - Water leakage occurred from the panel joints of a tank due to aging deterioration at the hospital. ■Solution - Repair work was carried out without shutting off the water supply for the hospital. - A temporary tank was installed, and lining work on the internal joints of the tank was performed. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
In addition to this, we are carrying out various repair works. ■ Installation of anti-corrosion caps on the bolts in the vapor phase of the tank The bolts connecting the panels inside the water tank are corroded by chlorine used for disinfecting drinking water. The bolts in the vapor phase corrode more than those submerged in water. As a result, this can lead to a deterioration in water quality and a lack of strength in the tank itself. To prevent such issues from occurring, protective caps for water supply can be installed on the bolts to enhance the anti-corrosion effect. ■ Polyurethane resin coating on the exterior of FRP water storage tanks FRP water storage tanks installed outdoors gradually lose thickness due to oxidation and decomposition of the resin caused by ultraviolet rays, as well as hydrolysis due to moisture. This can lead to problems such as chalking on the exterior of the tank and significant decreases in residual chlorine, resulting in bacterial growth and algae formation. Even in such cases, implementing a polyurethane resin coating on the exterior of the water storage tank can block light transmission and help suppress the decrease in residual chlorine.
