The VAD-i400.xx transmits four channels of composite video signals over single-mode fiber up to 20 km and multi-mode fiber up to 3 km. Since the video is converted to digital for transmission, there is no degradation in image quality.

- It multiplexes four types of composite video (NTSC/PAL/SECAM) over a single optical fiber. - Transmission is done using a transmitter (VAD-i400.TC) and a receiver (VAD-i400.RC). - The transmission distance is up to 20 km for single mode and up to 3 km for multi-mode. - It samples the video signal in uncompressed 10-bit 27MHz with minimal degradation. - The optical fiber is not affected by noise from other devices or cables. - It does not generate noise such as electromagnetic waves from the optical fiber. - Ground loops that can cause video noise do not occur. - It operates on DC 9-12V (DC12V power adapter included). - When installing multiple units, a separately sold 19-inch rack mount chassis can be used to install up to 16 units together. *This product does not support AHD / HD-TVI / HDCVI (analog HD) video signals. Compatible products are the VAD-H series and HD401F series.
