It allows for comparisons between cages (multiple housing) and individuals, counting animal movements by scanning infrared sensors (14×7) at 20mm intervals once every 0.5 seconds. The measurement range is 30cm×20cm, and it is compatible with transparent cages currently used by various manufacturers.
