Using IC does not mean that any ion can be measured. In the case of measurements using ion exchange separation and conductivity detection, ions that are not ionized in the mobile phase or at the detection point cannot be measured. Even if they exist as ions in the sample, if they precipitate or change chemical form as soon as they are injected and mixed with the mobile phase, they cannot be measured. Furthermore, ions that are suppressed by the suppressor cannot be detected with high sensitivity.
