UL Japan is accredited as a testing/calibration laboratory based on ISO/IEC 17025 by JAB and the U.S. A2LA. As a certified testing laboratory for multiple automotive manufacturers, it provides EMC testing services for automotive equipment and calibration services for testing equipment. ■ Automotive Technology Center (ATC) At the ATC in Miyoshi City, Aichi Prefecture, the "EHV Chamber," a fixed dynamometer equipped for electric vehicles and hybrid vehicle (EV/HV) components, was established in 2018. The EHV Chamber offers one-stop service for testing tailored to EV/HV in addition to existing high-voltage electrical tests. ■ Kashima EMC Testing Laboratory "Next-Generation Mobility Building" At the Kashima EMC Testing Laboratory in Katori City, Chiba Prefecture, a next-generation mobility building equipped with two EHV Chambers is being constructed. This will enable EMC testing compliant with "CISPR 25: 2016 Ed.4 Annex I" and "ISO 11452-2 Ed.3 Clause 8." Additionally, it is equipped with a bidirectional high-voltage DC power supply capable of up to 1000V/240A, along with cooling facilities such as chillers for LLC, to recreate testing environments close to real vehicles.
