The 5897 series is a compact connector for board-to-board applications with a narrow pitch of 0.35mm, featuring a mating height of 0.8mm and a depth dimension of 2.3mm. Like traditional products with robust fittings, this connector is designed for narrow pitch and low profile, while the fittings at both ends prevent damage to the insulator and contacts due to misalignment during mating, ensuring high robustness and smooth mating guidance. Additionally, fittings are provided inside the receptacle to enhance the strength of the connector. - Both ends of the plug and the receptacle are covered with metal fittings to reinforce the strength that decreases due to narrow pitch and low profile, preventing damage caused by misalignment during mating. Additionally, the flat shape of the top surface covered with metal fittings enables smooth insertion and facilitates mating. - A space-saving connector with a 0.35mm pitch, a mating height of 0.8mm between substrates, and a depth dimension of 2.3mm. - The metal fittings at both ends of the connector can be used as power contacts (rated current: 3.0A/metal fitting). - The contact section adopts a "clamping contact shape" (two-point contact), making it resistant to vibrations and impacts from drops. Furthermore, the shape of the plug contact incorporates a mechanism that increases concentrated load and eliminates foreign objects (wiping effect), achieving high contact reliability. - Compatible with automatic mounting.
