However, as regulations related to food in Europe and the United States have become stricter, the use of MC nylon for "food contact applications" has become prohibited. As an alternative, blue POM (blue polyacetal resin) has been developed, which complies with "food contact application regulations." Blue POM has mechanical properties equivalent to those of white (natural) polyacetal resin. It can be utilized as an option for identifying parts made from POM (polyacetal resin) materials (blue or white). Since the material strength is the same, the gear specifications should remain the same, and please confirm the dimensions of each part before selection. *Please note that if the tooth width differs, it may affect gear strength. (3) When replacing MC nylon with blue POM... Please confirm the gear strength and dimensions (refer to the KG catalog). *The gear strength of blue POM is approximately 30% of that of MC nylon (based on our experimental results). Please exercise caution when replacing from MC nylon. For details, please refer to the allowable transmission power table. *The product price of blue POM is lower compared to similar-sized products made of MC nylon from other companies. The blue POM series has a larger range for additional processing, smaller hole diameters, and larger hub outer diameters.
